The application, priority form, and teaching certificate must be received by the deadline date to be considered for the course.

Prerequisites: EDU 591 - Nature and Needs of the Gifted and EDU 592 - Curriculum and Instruction for the Gifted and Talented. Proof of South Carolina Gifted and Talented Endorsement will be required after notification of acceptance into the course.

In order to be considered for placement in this course, after completing the application:

1)   Please email a copy of your GT Endorsement. This may be a copy of your teaching certificate from the SCDE, (online copy acceptable) or a copy of your transcripts, showing the 2 endorsement courses and your final passing grades (please do not include any personal information on the scan).  Email documents to GT@converse.edu.

2)   Teachers will be placed in the course by priority.  If not already submitted, please have your principal or GT coordinator complete the priority verification Confirmation of Advanced Priority Form.pdf and email it to GT@converse.edu. Priorities for the advanced courses are as follows:

Priority 1) Endorsed teachers teaching GT students; 

Priority 2) Endorsed teachers who will be teaching GT students in the upcoming year; 

Priority 3) Endorsed teachers not assigned to teach GT students.
