Application must be received by the deadline date to be considered for the course.  A signed Confirmation of Priority form and proof of GT Endorsement must be emailed to GT@converse.edu by the deadline date to be considered for the course.

Summer Term Course Dates:     4/28/25 - 6/29/25     (1 section)  Application deadline: 2/28/25  

Prerequisites: EDU591 - Nature and Needs of the Gifted and EDU592 - Curriculum and Instruction for the Gifted and Talented. Proof of South Carolina Gifted and Talented Endorsement will be required.

In order to be considered for placement in this course, after completing the application:

1)   Please scan and send us a copy of your GT Endorsement. This may be a copy of your teaching certificate from the SCDE, (online copy acceptable) or a copy of your transcripts, showing the 2 endorsement courses and your final passing grades (please do not include any personal information on the scan).  Email scanned documents to GT@converse.edu.

2)   Teachers will be placed in the course by priority.  If not already submitted, please have your principal or GT coordinator complete the Verification of Priority Form and email it to Dr. Lee at GT@converse.edu.   Confirmation of Advanced Priority Form.pdf

Priorities for the advanced courses are as follows:

Priority 1) Endorsed teachers teaching GT students; 

Priority 2) Endorsed teachers who will be teaching GT students in the upcoming year; 

Priority 3) Endorsed teachers not assigned to teach GT students.
