THINGS TO KNOW

Enrollment: Students will receive access to their MyConverse Student Portal, where they will find enrollment forms they must complete before they are allowed to begin classes this Fall.

Financial Aid: We’re dedicated to helping students and their families afford a Converse education. If your student applied for financial aid, you can view their award online by logging in to my.converse.edu.

Many factors go into determining financial aid awards for admitted students. Our financial planning advisers are here to help you chart the course that makes the most sense to your family and are available to speak with Monday-Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm. If you have any questions about your student’s financial aid award, don’t hesitate to contact our Financial Planning Office.

Student Billing: Converse College has added a parent portal to the my.converse.edu page. This portal will provide an access point for communication with parents, families, and guardians. The billing office have eliminated printed bills in January 2015 with the expectation that students and families will readily have access to billing and account information via the portal. In accordance with FERPA guidelines students must add each family member and set their permissions for the portal.

This is part pf the student's enrollment process. Students may add more than one person with different permission settings. Parents/guardians will be contacted at the email address provided with their log in information once the submission has been processed.

Residential Requirement: Converse College is a residential college and views on-campus living as an integral part of the educational experience. All undergraduate students, under the age of 24, must reside in college residence halls unless they make their home with their parents/legal guardian in their permanent residence within a 35 mile radius of the college. Also, students with custodial children residing with them and/or students who are married may reside off-campus, and must submit in writing to the Dean for Community Life a request for a waiver from this policy. Students who are married may continue to reside in Converse College residence halls; however, marital status does not change the visitation policy and spouses are subject to the standard visitation policy requirements. If Converse students marry each other, they may not reside together in on-campus housing. Students living in college residence halls must be full-time students. Infractions of the residency requirement policy will be handled by the Dean for Community Life. Students found in violation of this policy may be charged College room and board fees.
