Converse College has an opening for an adjunct instructor to teach Introduction to Biological Sciences 1 and Introduction to Biological Sciences 2 and associated labs in the Spring 2018 semester (February – May). Bio 190 is a general introduction to biology for all students, non-majors and potential majors. It serves as a natural science general education class. The course covers concepts and principles in the areas of organismal biology evolution, biodiversity, and ecology. Bio 191 is the second course in Introduction to Biological Sciences sequence. It is for biology and biochemistry majors only. The course covers concepts and principles in the areas of genetics ( heredity and molecular biology), cell structure and function (Metabolism), and other areas. The instructor is expected to teach both the lab and the lecture sections of the course.
Qualification: Graduate degree in Biology. College-level teaching experience is preferred.
